We enjoyed a blessed Anglican Confirmation service on Saturday 25th March.
Our Diocesan Bishop, Rt Revd Robert Innes, led the service as four adults and young people were confirmed. They came from the churches of All Saints, Holy Trinity Utrecht and the Anglican Church in Arnhem / Nijmegen. Bishop Robert preached on Luke 1, the calling of Mary.
A beautiful afternoon of sun added to the atmosphere, as family and friends and church members gathered in support and celebration of these individuals publically declaring their Christian faith and their commitment to follow and serve Christ wherever God leads them.
After the confirmation, Bishop Robert spent the evening with the Chaplaincy Council of Utrecht, and the leadership teams of Holy Trinity and All Saints. He shared about his experience of Christian marriage, the current strategic emphases for the Diocese, the important role of Councils and churchwardens and the place of growing leaders in a local church and as a diocese.
