2nd October 2020
Dear brothers and sisters,
As you know the Corona virus is on the rise again. The Council and Rev. Grant met last night to discern what this means for us at ASA. After much deliberation it has been decided to suspend our Sunday services for the next 3 weeks, starting this coming Sunday 4th October. Services will continue online as usual.
This decision has been taken with pain in our hearts. We are very reluctant to stop our services, as we know how important it is to gather together before the Lord. We all experience this virus as an attack on our unity as body of Christ. However we believe that all of us need to do our utmost to ensure that the virus does not spread. We also have a responsibility towards eachother to ensure it does not gain a foothold within ASA. The virus levels in our region Amersfoort/Leusden are very concerning.
This decision is just for the next 3 weeks. And we hope it will help to ensure we can start again after 3 weeks.
We will evaluate over the next weeks.
Please pray for each other, and for unity. And keep in touch and encourage one another.
The launch of the Life groups is unaffected and will go ahead as planned.
We are encouraged by the words and vision of Paul in Romans 8:35-39. Whatever we face or experience in life, nothing separates us from God’s unconditional, never giving up love…
Wishing you all every blessing.
Rev. Grant and the Council and wardens.
