Anchor: Time to Pray – An Informal Prayer Service
Next Service: After the Summer ( we are having our summer break!)
Anchor takes place weekly.
The main focus of our time: we intercede for the life of All Saints, such as our new Alpha Course and new Home Group season, for our members, for our town and nation in this difficult period of the Coronavirus.
We also gain wisdom and fuel for our prayer from scripture, as we reflect on some words from Jonah.
The passage in mind shaping the vision for each evening is: Eph 6:16-18: to pray for our members and others with all sorts of prayers and requests, seeking to be led by the Spirit in our intercession, and mindful that in all our human challenges, we are in spiritual warfare, an enemy whose forces, by their weapons and arrows, seek to use these days to steal and destroy.
It begins at 2000 via Zoom. The link will be in the email newsletter and All Saints Updates App group.
People can arrive from 1945, a brief way to see each other. Begin at 2000, end at 2045.
There is some simple brief liturgy which shapes our time of prayer together. The liturgy will also be shared on the screen during Zoom.
I recognize that for many of you, life is hectic, too full, to join. That is fine. But if you can join, you are very welcome.
‘And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and keep on praying for all the saints.’
