‘’Paul and the Spirit of God: God’s Experienced Empowering Presence.’’
We want to be growing our understanding of a charismatic church and personally living, walking and being led by the Spirit. So once a month from Oct we will be offering a study evening, on the Holy Spirit focusing on St Paul’s writings. In Paul’s writings, the Spirit for Paul, is a key player in all of Christian life – from its beginning to the end. For Paul the Spirit is more than about fruit or gifts – it is that, but more. The Spirit is God’s personal presence among us. Also the Spirit is eschatological fulfilment – his outpowering marks that we have entered the final days and also that Spirit empowers God’s people to live the life of the future in the inbetween times – between Christ’s first and second advents.
So we will be exploring Paul. How? We will do a good amount of biblical exploration via a talk, there will be group discussion; and there will be exercises for us to do, or shared examples to take away of how to live out what we have been exploring that evening, in our day to day Christian lives.
We meet on the first Monday of the month, from Oct to June, (bar one or two changes).
From 2000 to 2130.
You do not need to commit to every session; every session will have a different topic.
