What to Expect
Welcome! It will be wonderful to see you. Our Sunday Worship follows the Church of England (Anglican) traditions. All our services are held in the English language.
Our rhythm of worship?
Every Sunday there is Holy Communion.
However on the 3rd Sunday, or during the school vacations, there is All Age Worship with Holy Communion, where children over 4 stay in the service. We have a creche for under 4s.
On a 5th Sunday (4 times a year) – we hold a service of Morning Prayer, where we spend more time in intercession for our church and for our city. There is Sunday School provided.
There is Sunday School (5-12 year olds) provided each Sunday, except for an All Age Service. And there is always a manned creche for under 4s.
Our worship could be described as liturgical, and across a month a blend of traditional and modern. Two Sundays a month, our music is piano led; the other two Sundays, music group led using contemporary worship songs.
It is book based – with occasional use of projector for sermons.
When you arrive, our welcomers will greet you and give you the books – prayer book, song book, and bulletin.
At All Saints, all are welcome to receive Holy Communion if you are baptised and you would normally receive in the church you regularly attend. If you would prefer not to receive bread and wine, you would be also welcome to come and receive a prayer of blessing. If you would like such a prayer, if you have your hands by your side, the minister will pray God’s blessing on you. You are welcome also to remain seated and to think and pray…
If for Holy Communion, you would prefer to receive gluten free bread, please mention that to one of the stewards, and we will make that available.
If you need any help at any of our services, do please feel free to ask or to contact us.
