Isaiah 35 – on this Third Sunday of Advent – shares about the recovery, the transformation, dead places receiving life, of what will be when God will come. Jesus in Matthew 11 references Isaiah 35 saying the Messiah has come.
Stand up, lift up your heads… (Luke 21)
Jesus points to the signs ahead and then the signs of the end. A Christian to be watching and waiting yet to be someone who is not beaten down by the events around them, but to stand up, to raise their heads knowing freedom is coming.
